About the course:

The course is design or suitable for those delegates that are currently holding, or aspiring to become a site manager.  This course is design to equip managers with the relevant skills needed for the role such as planning and monitoring construction safety.

The training is at our Croydon site and is delivered by qualified Trainers with years of teaching experience in construction

What will I gain?

At the end of the course, new site managers will be able to:

  1. Understand the health and safety law and how it relates to site managers
  2. Understand how your role as manager impacts and influences the general management format in ensuring a site is deemed safe at all times
  3. Understand the issues associated with the construction industry
  4. Understand how to effectively monitor a site
  5. Know how to carry out the following tasks: site inductions, statement briefings and toolbox talks
  6. Know how to carry out and prepare risk assessments and method statements

Assessment Method:  Exam

If you need to re-sit the test, you must do this within 90 days. There is additional charge for re-sit.

Qualification: Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)

Duration: 5 days

What are the entry requirements?

You need to be able to read and write. Please contact us if you have any concerns in this area.

You will need to provide a valid ID on the first day of the course, such as a copy of your passport or driving licence.  See accepted forms of ID.
